Welcome to the AAC. So, you want to be an exhibitor at the convention – and now, you’d like to know more.
We all know that it can be tricky to be a vendor/exhibitor at such a niche convention. But, if there’s one thing I can say about this convention is – it’s like no other. Not only are we showcasing authors, we’re bringing in publishers and artists for those that want to learn the writing and publishing craft, in all its facets – not to mention panels and workshops to help improve your publishing opportunities. The Akron Authors Convention is intended for literary fans of all sorts and specializes in promoting aspiring writers and artists in the publishing industry.
Vendors, panelists, and presenters have different presentation needs. Please mention if you need electricity, projectors, or other exhibition resources. Most of the tables have electricity, but projectors and other technology needs have different requirements. This goes for health and safety needs too. Staff should be made aware of convention needs ahead of time to accommodate all guests and presenters. To sign up as a vendor and see the convention FAQ, visit the Exhibitor Sign-Up page. TIPS AND TRICKS
Preparing To Exhibit/Vend

- You can either sign up to speak with someone about your booth reservation (in case you wanted to do panels and get discounts), or you can go directly to reserve and pay for your booth, here.
- Speaking of panels and discounts, did you know that you can sign up, here – and, again, if you sign up to do two panels, we’ll give you a discount on your booth
- If you need electricity for your booth, you’re in luck. Every booth will have access to an electrical outlet.
- If you need WiFi to take payments for books and products, there will also be WiFi provided.
- Make a list of the essentials that you’re going to need in order to make your experience great and worthwhile.
- Table cloth or sheet to cover your table with
- Cell Phone
- Laptop or Tablet for displaying anything
- Business Cards, Fliers, Pamphlets, Postcards, Table Tents
- Marketing Swag (pens, signage, bookmarks, etc.)
- A couple of sharpie markers or pens for signing autograph copies of your books
- Reserve your hotel room if you’re coming in from out of town – be sure to tell them you are with us.
- There will be staff on hand to help out on both days
- There will be staff on hand to sit and watch your booth, if you feel you need a break or to get some food
- There will be food trucks available for any and all snacking purposes
- Lastly, make sure to let your audience and following know where you’re going to be using the following hashtags:
