Akron Authors Con Is
The Premiere Ohio Authors Convention

The Akron Authors Convention is the newest, out of the box, convention that connects authors, publishers, literary agents, and artists to readers and a broad audience base. We are putting together one of the most exciting events in this area of Ohio. As authors, ourselves, we pride ourselves on quality. That’s why we are working hard to put together the best – with the best – for the best.

Marcus Calvert
Marcus Calvert

Marcus V. Calvert is a native of Detroit who grew up with an addiction to sci-fi that just wouldn’t go away. His goal’s to tell unique, twisted stories that people will be reading long after he’s gone. For him, the name and the fame aren’t important. Only the stories matter. You can find his novels, short story collections, and writing guides at:

Mark Bogner is a 50+ year old self-published author in Ohio who also runs a small media company. He’s a sci-fi nerd and loves telling stories. Mark’s been around since the 1970’s and has seen and heard a great number of stories that influenced his writings. He also has a strange knack for remembering some of the most useless knowledge that will invariably end up in one of his stories – and has been writing for over two decades.

To see his first venture into the publishing world, read The Dreamweaver, Mark’s debut novel.

Weston Kincade
Weston Kincade

Weston Kincade writes character-driven fantasy, paranormal, and horror novels that stretch the boundaries of imagination and often genres. His current series include the A Life of Death Trilogy and the Priors. Weston’s thrilling short stories have been published in Alucard Press’ “50 Shades of Slay,” Kevin J. Kennedy’s bestselling collections, and other suspenseful anthologies. He is a member of the Horror Writers Association (HWA) and helps invest in future writers while teaching.

When not manning a vendors table, signing books, or presenting in panels, Weston volunteers with multiple sci-fi/fantasy conventions, including Cleveland ConCoction and WindyCon. After lucking into an opportunity with Cleveland ConCoction during year one, he was asked to design and build their lit department. Since then, ConCoction has grown and become known as one of the most author-friendly conventions around. This led to Build Your Authors Alley.

While this certainly keeps him busy, in the few moments that remain, Weston enjoys spending time outdoors and with his wife and favorite feline.
